Yukon Art Society Gallery
The Arts Underground gallery is run by the Yukon Art Society (YAS) and features a new exhibit every month. The YAS exhibition program showcases artwork by Yukon artists from a multitude of disciplines and at varying stages in their development. YAS takes great pride in supporting and mentoring emerging northern artists and art organizations.
The Yukon Arts Society was founded in 1970 and today represents approximately 150 artists. In addition to its gallery and exhibition program, YAS is responsible for Arts in the Park as well as the YAS Professional and Creative Development Workshop Program. YAS maintains active partnerships with the Ted Harrison Artist Retreat Society, Studio 204 and with the Yukon Art Centre.
